High level summary

Simple summary. Excruciating detail below.

QuestionAnswer
Is there a score to clear? No. Applicants are put in order by UCAT score and the university works down the list until the interview places run out. The line moves with the field each year. Any contextual adjustment is below.
How to read the UCAT figures hereA lowest score and an average are both published. Judge yourself against the average. The lowest is one person.
What else countsDegree subject and class are a requirement in their own right. Details below. GCSEs are a gate. Meeting the minimum is what counts; beating it earns nothing. The personal statement is not used to shortlist. No SJT rule is published.

20222021of 360026602860328019708th

THE TREND IS THE POINT. Put on one scale, the lowest score Warwick invited has fallen from the 8th decile band for 2022 entry to the 7th, then to the 5th for 2024 and 2025 entry, ticking back up to the 6th for 2026. Raw scores cannot show this because the scale changed underneath them; the deciles can. The direction is clear and the size of the fall is real, but it is not still falling, and the 2026 figure is the first rise in five years. The average invited sits in the 8th decile band in every year except 2022 entry, when it was above the 9th, so the lowest figure is a floor reached by very few and not a target. A graduate applicant in the 5th or 6th decile band is inside the range Warwick has invited from, which was not true four years ago.

NOT FOUND, and worth a second look. Neither the entry requirements page nor the admissions facts and figures page states any rule about Verbal Reasoning, any subtest minimum, or any SJT band requirement. Both describe selection on the TOTAL score alone. Nothing has been entered for a VR rule until the page carrying it can be identified.
