Graduate entry medicine: start here
HOW TO USE THIS PAGE. Graduate entry turns on two questions before anything else, so read those columns first. 1. WHICH TEST. Several schools take only the GAMSAT and will not look at a UCAT score at all. Several take only the UCAT. A few take either. Sitting the wrong test rules you out completely. 2. WHICH DEGREE. Some schools accept any subject. Others require biosciences or life sciences. Bangor and Cardiff accept ONLY graduates of their own named feeder degrees, so nobody else can apply however strong their score. 3. Then the score columns. UCAT figures are on the current scale out of 2700, with ~ marking a conversion from the old 3600 scale. GAMSAT is out of 100 and its scale has not changed. 4. The SJT column matters: Manchester takes bands 1 and 2 only, the strictest rule of any graduate entry course. 5. Then open that university's own tab, which carries the places, English language and full entry requirements. A cell reading Unknown means the figure is not published.

Places and application numbers are published by very few graduate entry courses, which is why most of those cells are empty. Where only an application count is known it is given as a count rather than a ratio. Degree subject is the column that eliminates most applicants, so check it before spending a choice.
